On Friday, November 18, 2022, WAKE UP: An Advocacy Power Breakfast hosted by the Women’s Fund of El Paso was held at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing. The event was geared towards empowering women in the community and provided them with candid conversations and networking opportunities to grow their influence. It was an overwhelming success that consisted of many positive takeaways and strategies for continuing this movement.
The Women’s Fund of El Paso is an incredibly important organization that strives to offer educational advancement, leadership development, and access to resources in the community through various outlets. Since its founding in 2004, the Women’s Fund has awarded 300 scholarships totaling over $400,000.
One key factor that sets them apart from other organizations is that they provide childcare funding. This significantly helps low-income women gain access to education and jobs without needing to find expensive or inaccessible childcare options.
