Fortunately, Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso was able to put together an incredible event to raise donations and support the organization’s mission. This event, the Roaring 2020s Virtual Gala was hosted virtually, with many exciting activities including live music from Julio Ortiz Entertainment, a silent auction, cookie decorating with Sweet Addiction and even a Quarantini Cocktail Mixology Class & Appetizers, courtesy of 501 Bar & Bistro and Sabertooth Food Co./Hope & Anchor as well as Republic National Distributing Company.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso had to cancel two of their traditional annual fundraisers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has posed a great challenge for them as they attempt to bridge the critical gap in lost funding while facing increased needs from families and children. In response, BBBSP has come up with creative plans to keep their mission going. With the pandemic making things more difficult, BBBSP’s work is now even more important than ever.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso is a nonprofit organization that works to provide mentoring and support for youth in the El Paso area. The organization matches Big Brothers and Big Sisters with at-risk children who need additional guidance and support through their formative years. Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso believes that by providing positive role models, they can help children build self-esteem, improve academic performance, and develop decision making skills.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso is an amazing organization that does important work for the youth in the El Paso area. Thanks to the generous donations from supporters and creative efforts from BBBS, they are able to continue their operations despite the difficult times we’re facing due to COVID-19.
